NOTE:If the Rain Tracker does not operate correctly, try using a larger resistor,
680 for example.
This vehicle is wiper system class GM-SWM. The intermittent
wipe controller is built into the wiper motor cover, in
a motor/controller combination. The Rain Tracker is installed
between the wiper control switch and the motor/controller.
All wires except ground are available coming from the wiper
switch. They can usually be accessed by removing one or
two access panels (Kick Panels.)
For the Rain Tracker chassis ground, find a suitable chassis
ground. Be sure to scrape away paint as needed to get good
contact.
SPECIAL NOTE FOR OLDER VEHICLES WITHOUT INTERMITTENT
Most of these vehicles have intermittent (pulse) wipers.
For those without, use the drawing: Chevy Trucks w/o Int,
and use the Hot Side Switching drawing. (Comes with product.)
Mark the vehicle wire colors on the Hot Side Switching drawing,
and use that to wire up the vehicle. The vehicle drawing is
for reference to help you find wires.
