Vehicle-Specific Installation Instructions

The instructions included with the product tell how to install a Rain Tracker. This page gives special vehicle-specific information.

These instructions apply to these vehicles, which all have similar wiper systems:

Wire colors used in this vehicle:

+12V - DK-GRN
GROUND - WHT/LT-GRN
RATE - PPL
MODE - YEL

External Components Required for this installation

RESISTOR - 3.3K - Color Code: ORN-ORN-RED
RESISTOR - 1.5K - Color Code: BRN-GRN-RED

Special Rain Tracker Installation Notes for this vehicle:

Trace most wires from the switch. +12V is not available from the wiper switch.
Use any +12V in accessory/run source. Alternative +12V source: cigarette lighter.

Note that if 1.5K is not available, and close value will work. You can
make a value close enough by placing all of three of these resistors
(supplied in Rain Tracker accessory kits) in series:

330 OHM (ORN-ORN-BRN)
390 OHM (ORN-WHT-BRN)
680 OHM (BLU-GRY-BRN)
