Wire colors used in this vehicle:
+12V - DK-GRN
GROUND - BLK
COMMON - YEL/RED
Special Rain Tracker Installation Notes for this vehicle:
SPECIAL NOTE: The RT-50 will not run the wipers automatically at high
speed for this application.
This is because the way Ford implemented this wiper system, with switching
on both the common an high/low winding connections. So, the user will have
automatic operation from off, through a range of intermittent, and up through
steady slow speed.
NOTE: On somme vehicles, the wipers can be taken directly from the wiper switch.
Others need to come from the interval governer.
Break the motor common wire (YEL/RED) as shown. The MOTOR side goes to the
BLU wire from the RT-50, and the SWITCH side goes to the PPL wire from the
RT-50. Tie the GRN RT-50 wire to ground (BLK)
Installation of the RT-50 in non-intermittent applications is similar, except
that the YEL/RED motor common wire runs from the motor to the switch, with
no intermittent relay module.
