Vehicle-Specific Installation Instructions
These instructions apply to these vehicles, which all have similar wiper systems:

Wire colors used in this vehicle:
+12V - Find Hot in Accessory or run, such as switched cig ltr.
GROUND - Use Chassis Ground
MUX - BRN/YEL
MUX-RETURN - WHT/YEL
External Components Required for this installation
RESISTOR - 68 - Color Code: BLU/GRY/BLK
RESISTOR - 100 - Color Code: BRN/BLK/BRN
Special Rain Tracker Installation Notes for this vehicle:
If 100 ohm is not available, use these three resistors in parallel:
220 = RED/RED/BRN
330 = ORN/ORN/BRN
390 = ORN/WHT/BRN
WARNING-- We have had a report that the wiper can sometimes
make an incomplete wipe on this implementation. Please e-mail
OEDES at info@oedes.com if you like to test this vehicle before
installing the Rain Tracker.
NOTE: For the Durango, the MUX-RETURN wire is PPL/BRN and for the
Dodge Dakota and Mitsubishi Raider, the MUX-RETURN wire is PPL/ORN.
FROM SWITCH, ACCESS PANELS, EXCEPT +12V
All wires except +12V are available coming from the wiper
switch. They can usually be accessed by removing one or
two access panels (Kick Panels.)
For Rain Tracker power (+12V), locate a source of power
hot in accessory or run.(min.16 ga/ 10A circuit) This can be
one of the +12V sourcesas shown on the diagram, or some
other accessory source.
FIND CHASSIS GROUND
Find a suitable screw or bolt on the metal chassis of the
vehicle for the Rain Tracker ground. Be sure to scrape
away paint as needed for a good connection. If possible,
check the ground connection with a multi-meter. (It should
be at most a couple of ohms.) An alternative source for
ground is the cigarette lighter. (This can also be an alternative
source of +12V power for some applications as well.)
Some models and years may vary slightly in wire colors. If possible, confirm
wire colors with service guide, and/or with with a multimeter.
