Special Rain Tracker Installation Notes for this vehicle:
VEHICLE SPECIFIC INFORMATION
The wires for the fast(wht) split as well as the slow(yel) when they come from the switch.
To maintain proper funcioning it is required to tie into both or before the split.
FROM SWITCH, ACCESS PANELS, EXCEPT GROUND
All wires except ground are available coming from the wiper
switch. They can usually be accessed by removing one or
two access panels (Kick Panels.)
FIND CHASSIS GROUND
Find a suitable screw or bolt on the metal chassis of the
vehicle for the Rain Tracker ground. Be sure to scrape
away paint as needed for a good connection. If possible,
check the ground connection with a multi-meter. (It should
be at most a couple of ohms.) An alternative source for
ground is the cigarette lighter. (This can also be an alternative
source of +12V power for some applications as well.)
Write the wire colors of the vehicle on the HSS drawing, and follow that
when you wire up the Rain Tracker. Use the factory drawing as a reference
to help you find the wires.
All wires available from wiper switch.
Some models and years may vary slightly in wire colors.
If possible, confirm wire colors with service guide, and/or with
with a multimeter.
